A lifelong passion for creative meanderings, Janis has post graduate qualifications in adult education and has taught CIV and Diploma in Training and Assessment as well as e-Learning Design and Development for the past twelve years, which has been a great fit with her creative flair and love of teaching.

Inititally learning to make leadlight windoes and copper-foil Tiffany lamps and jewellery boxes lead to several decades of a love affair with art glass. It's tactile beauty, richness and diversity of colour and texture, provides endless possibilities for artistic expression. Focusing on fusing and slumping of glass objects, Janis has created an array of bowls, platters and wall hangings. The resulting abundance of offcuts of glass lead to making various mosaic pieces, some including fused features and also fused glass jewellery components.

A lifelong learner, Jan has developed skills in the use of various mediums to enhance her fused glass jewellery pieces; lampwork beads, wirework, PMC and other metal clays, silversmithing, stone setting and enamelling. A plethora of complimentary means to create unique wearable art.
