EXPLORE A NEW PASSION FOR METALWORK JEWELLERY IN THIS 6 WEEK BEGINNERS METALWORK COURSE.
This exceptional jewellery metalwork course for beginners covers the fundamental techniques of saw-piercing and soldering; two of the most essential skills any jeweller, metalsmith or hobbyist can possess.
Metalwork for Beginners Stage 1 is one of the most comprehensive silver and metalwork courses available in Sydney, blending practical hands on learning and in depth instruction delivered by practising industry professionals.
Students will begin their metalwork journey using copper to make a saw-pierced pendant, move on to beautiful sterling silver to create a finger ring, then a selection of pieces of your own choice using your newly acquired jewellery metalwork skills.
With time to focus and hone your skills, this class, open to all levels, is the perfect starting point to get creative and make some fabulous wearables of your own design.
At the end of this course students will be competent in soldering, having practised many different solder joints over a series of projects in brass, copper and sterling silver.
Gain the skills in metalwork jewellery making and be confident to move on to any of our various metalwork courses offered at Sydney Jewellery School.

"I can't thank you enough for opening my eyes to the endless possibilities that are available to me now when I am making my own jewellery designs, I am completely hooked." Hilary Parks
"Thanks guys, you rock, I love my new bangle and ring. Putting those weeks of learning into creating my own work in silver was just wonderful and I am really proud of my first endeavour. Thanks to Wendy and Sarah for giving me the confidence I needed. I will be doing Mel's stone setting now to add a bit of sparkle!" Jennifer Leary
"I came accross your school whilst looking for somewhere to teach me how to etch, a very happy find. You have given me a new focus on my metalwork. Your teachers were knowlegable and obliging. I suspect I will be returning in the new year to learn more tricks to keep me progressing in what is rapidly becoming my passion." Patrick Smythe
